MonteSS
Any approximate estimate on how much softener I need to add to one gallon of medium Calhouns to make it soft? Or should I just buy soft plastic. I will use it for heavily salted sticks. Thanks....Bill
Jig Man
When doing heavy salted sticks the ratio I use is 3 oz of softner to 8 oz of plastisol. So I guess it would be 6 cups per gallon if I did the math right. 128/8=(16)x3=(48)/8=
loodkop
My formula for sticks is 1 cup plastic, 1/2 cup salt and 1/4 cup softener. I use this a starting point and play around with the salt and softener to get what I want. Hope this helps.
MonteSS
I assume you are adding the softened to medium plastic. What if I started with soft plastic? Would solftener still be needed? Thanks....Bill
loodkop
Bill. Only you can decide how soft you want to make your sticks. For my personal use I would add softener to soft plastic but my Dad refuses to fish a worm that only lasts for one fish. I don't really sell but I have a couple of friends who buy from me and I have formula for each of them.
