The Dutchman
I just put in an order for popcorn salt and of course the shipping is killing me. I used to use ground non-iodized salt but I thought I could not get the transparancy I would have liked. How many of you use popcorn vs. another salt or form of salt for you baits? Just curious. alsworms
I've always prefered popcorn salt, and get all supplies at Barry Farms. www.barryfarm.com Great people, fast service, and they don't kill on shipping.
Jig Man
I use kosher salt and powder it in a coffee grinder.
softworm
Most grocery stores carry the popcorn salt. Sams Club has it a little larger quanity. That is where I get mine
ProP-JunKie
I have been using Canning and Pickling Salt. It runs about 3 bucks for a 4 lbs. box. It is finer than regular, but to get a decent sink rate you will definitely loose transparency. Do you have a Cash and Carry where you are. I know they have popcorn salt too. Stick'em
Sea salt is another option. I'm using pickling salt and sea salt. Which is best is a toss up right now. The sea salt seemed to 'powder' better when I ground it up.
Roger Linnell
I bought a 50lb bag of fine grade feed mixing salt for 7$. Which would be great if I used salt
Stick'em
Is anybody using a coarse salt? That is next on my list. I don't know if the pickling salt is available without ording it. I'm probably going to try the sea salt in a coarse grade.
