ROWINGADUBAY
I was wondering if there is a trick to tying flouocarbon leaders so they come out exactly the same length everytime is there a fixture of jig I can make? I get pretty close but am looking for a better way than just measuring
Shark bitten
You can use a pre pegged board . Make a board with nails or something like that to attach your hook or lure to add a second nail for the swivel at a pre determined length attach both to the nails and go at it. Just like making a jig for carpentry . Very easy screw on a nail clipper or razor blade a bingo a tying board. By having a couple of nails or say eye hooks those twist in screws more pre set leader lengths can be very fast to tie. Or say a pieces 3/4" PVC pipe cut to 16" with a glued on cap and a removable cap can store leaders . 1 Then drill a hole in one end to attach the hook or lure 2 -attach 2 open end eye hook screws 12" part to attach the lure and swivel .Tying 1' -2' -3' ect leaders become easy as wrapping the leader around those eye hook screws and lure. You can probably add a razor blade inside the removable cap and by cutting the cap expose a mall section of it for cleaning the rigging up. Or a nail clipper or small scissor attached with velcro may hold up. Ya know what I'm going to do this because fishing on a kayak is all about organization . I pre cut all my leader to 3ft and store it in a ip lock bag but it's not that great.
