Cormorant Lures
I am curious to ask if gold glitter will bleed?!? I was trying to inject white frogs today with gold and black flake from LC and before you know it, my white colored plastic turned yellow(ish) in a hurry!!! Calhoun's Soft at about 330-340 degrees in a presto pot... I would have normally thought that it was just the plastic yellowing, but it wasn't very long after I put the plastic in the pot the it started to turn color... I am thinking it was the glitter, but I figured I would ask... Thanks!!!
Jig Man
I have had several colors of glitter turn white plastic a different shade. Now I only make small batches at a time.
Richard Prager
If you are not scorching the plastic, then it most likely the reflection of the flake.
ute
I have had white with no glitter and never hotter than 315 degrees in a stirred Presto Pot take on a yellow tint in less than 30 minutes. I now only shoot very small batches of White.
nova
If you want to know which glitters bleed and which don't you need to take a small amount of plastic and a small amount of glitter and heat them.(no color added). And yes the gold is bleeding. That being said; the ones that bleed can actually be used as the main color. You can get some interesting results. www.novalures.com
