smalljaw
Normans, I have found that they work best when you fill them about 1/2" to 1" from the top but I have used them with a lot less, as long as the powder is fluidized and will cover the lure it should work. The most important thing is that it covers your lure when dipped straight in, if you try to use too little and have to dip your lure in at an angle you will notice really quick that one side will get more paint that the other, it is really noticeable if you use a lure with recessed eye sockets as you notice one side is normal and the other side the recess is almost flush. I know this as I was running out of a color and tried to make use of the little bit I had left and found that anything less than omplete coverage doesn't work. To be safe I wouldn't use it with it being filled any less than half way but the absolute best results happen when you have it filled as I said, abount 1/2" to 1" from the top. ukey28
Smalljaw, if you are using a 2oz. bottle of powder in a 3 inch diameter cup, How tall should the cup be? Or does the paint float rather high up so the cup has to be 3-4" tall? Great question Normans!
smalljaw
If you are using 2oz jars you'll need at least 2 jars to make it useable, 3 jars and you are good to go and that is in a 3" diameter cup.
