BBK
If anyone has the do-it trolling sinker mold (the smaller one), can you snap a picture of the cavities please? I would like to see how it is layed out, got a project in mind that this mold might work for.

atijigs
There has been a change in the model numbers. I have the STR-4-A which is no longer listed in the catalog. Mine is a 4 cavity mold that makes 1/4,3/8,1/2,3/4oz.sinkers. Now they have a STR-4 MED that is also a 4 cavity mold starting at 3/4 oz on up to 2 oz. .I don't know how the 5 cavity is laid out but if you need a pic of mine let me know. I would be interested to see how they snuck the 5/8oz. in the STR-5-A.
BBK
a picture would be great atijigs, I just need to see how the swivels are arranged in the cavities. Thinking about trying to run a rod through there to make a hole through it, then use it as an inline spinner body.. I need to see if it would be possible to run a piece of wire through the cavity. atijigs
Here is the 4A. Keep in mind they have a 5th cavity in the 5A.
BBK
I bet they angled the sprue/weights to 45º and put all 5 in a line down the middle of the mold. Either way, the concept of how the swivels attach should be the same.. and the way it looks there, it wouldnt be hard to modify it to fit my needs. Griffond
If you wanted to experiment without using the mold and pouring lead just use a rubber core sinker and crush it with a pair of pliers... if you don't want it to move just add a little D2T to the ends should work just fine and you can get some really big and heavy rubber core sinkers
BBK
I've been buying the lead bodies from lure parts online, figured since I already pour lead I might as well figure out a mold to do it myself. Beats paying $0.60 each for the bodies.
atijigs
A couple of other molds come to mind without any modification. The lure body mold and the bottom bouncer mold. They both make various sizes.
Griffond
which body are you trying to make?
toadfrog
I bet you are correct You can use almost any mold a wire will go through . x 2 on the bottom bouncer . Just put a crinkle in the wire with a pair of pliers so it dosen't slide up and down your wire . Multitude of shapes can be had that way . I make some really strange looking stuff from 1/8 oz. to 6 oz.
BBK
1/2 and 3/4 oz bodies that I can use on downsized musky lures for pike.
