Painter1
David at Hook Solutions did a great job on a custom mold that includes a 1 oz and 3/4 oz shakey head for deep water in summer at Tablerock. I am looking for suggestions on a worm mold for a big worm (at least 10 inches) that really wags its tail. I plan to use float additive so that should help. Would love to know what you guys have had good luck with. I can inject or hand pour.
SHK
right here, crazy action. http://www.bearsbaits.com/Full-Round-Finesse-Worm--105--4-Cavity_p_75.html
Richard Prager
right here, crazy action. http://www.bearsbait...avity_p_75.html yep! and if you don't put salt in it and don't load it up with flake, it will stand straight up off the bottom. It floats naturally so it will reach for the surface.......no need for any additives! Edited April 3, 2012 by 152nd Street Baits
Painter1
Thanks for the suggestions. Has anyone tried this yet? http://www.basstackle.com/product_p/wackywormmold9.htm I love the action but wonder if the bass will hit one side and not be hookable? What do you think? Roger Linnell
Very cool looking but I think there's just too much stuff there
Painter1
I ended up using a 12" worm from an open pour mold. Loaded it with microbubbles and made a (paler) Tequila Sunrise type color. The bait really stood up well and got bit well on hot days, clear water, deep structure. We had to let the bass take the whole bait, so pausing a couple beats after he first got it was the key. Smaller bass would sometimes bite the bait off. We used up all that I poured. I don't do the tournament thing, but my guide buddy did well in a tournament and said it was all he could get bit on in the afternoon.
