Painter1
I want to try dipping some hollow-body swimbaits and need to find some tall & narrow containers that are microwave safe for the plastic. Any suggestions are appreciated

rixon529
Tomato sauce cans are microwave safe? Or heat the plastic in the microwave first then transfer to the cans? Rick Edited April 3, 2012 by rixon529
nova
You can try it in the micro if you want; lol. Heat first then transfer to the cans on a hotplate. Just be careful with the heat settings on the hotplate so you don't scorch the plastic. www.novalures.com
wchilton
Tall thin beakers can be had on eBay. Search for "Bomex Beaker" or "tall beaker pyrex". Anything made of pyrex or borosilicate glass is ok to heat up, just put it on some kind of hot pad (wook is ok) rather than a cold counter to minimize heat shock. A 250 ml bomex beaker is about 4.5 inches tall and a bit over 1 cup in volume.

kelly
If you cant find the perfect container just make a 90 deg. angle on the tail so you can dip it side ways. Use a wide or long container to dip in. This might be an advantage making the belly a different color or the back another color.
