tigerfire
I used marbles to create the guides in my pop mold. Well, one of the guides broke off and stayed in the hole in the other mold. I still have one good guide, is that all I need? Is there a way to repair the broken guide?
UNO
I've had some similar experiences. The thing I had going for me was that I made more than two registration marks so I still had several others to work with. You can probably pour with the 1 mark and line it up by sight to get decent results 1, but it is going to be a lot harder to get things to match up everytime. I am not aware of any real positive information to give you other than POP is cheap and practice makes perfect. Hope someone else has an easy fix, would love to hear it. mark poulson
I make little matching wooden trays for my POP molds, and use cutoff nails in the wooden sides for alignment.
squigster
Id try to put baits back in the molds and see if you can get it to line back up with both pieces while they are in there, then drill a hole carefully through both pieces in an area that the baits are not in and put a pin through it that is the same size as the hole and then figure out the length you want the pin to be for one side and superglue it in place at the desired depth you want. That is the only thing I can think of that may work.
Travis
Not a big deal from my experience I have several older molds that I made that never had guides. Since the two sides are a mate and not completely smooth surfaces they mate together just fine. Just clamp and pour.
