backwoodsbaits
Hello, I am wanting to duplicate the color cinnamon with black flake like the Yamamoto 176. The color receipe book shows 1 drop brown to 4oz plastic. I tried LC Brown and it did not even change color with 1 drop. Reheated and added more drops. I have done this severaql times and I am up to 16 drop. it is now a champaign color a great color in certain waters but, My question is this, are colors additives they list in the receipe book a different manufacture and the pigment a heavier brown. Just wondering as I like to take out some of the guess work. Thanks for any guidance.
MonteSS
Yes different brands colors are different in color and strength. If a recipe doesnt specify a brand you are guessing. Never tried the LC brown but I know their Pumpkin is very potent, and only a few drops are needed. Try shaking/mixing it better. ...Bill
jeff@mf
You can get real close with black and brown, but it may vary on who's brown you have. I think all black will be the same but browns are different.
Frank
Which brown from LC do you have? I have Chocolate and Brown. Both of which seam pretty strong. On the black I guess they all end up black but some are stronger than others. MFs black I can get a nice smoke in small batches but not others. Some just look real green before they turn black.
