Gloomisman
What type of plastic are you using for making your tubes? I had/have some hardener but it must be bad because it does not work. It just stays in a clump and does nothing else. Wont mix or heat. So now I'm probably going to just order some new plastic.

Jig Man
I like my tubes to be pretty soft so I use Medium from Bear's.
basshunter5
I only buy med plastic bc it seems to fit best for my needs but when I make tubes I usually make 2 cups at a time and add 2 tablspoons of hardner.
DaBehr
I use Caney Creek medium for everything. I don't like the lack of action of any of the "hard" plastics....and soft is too fragile. A lot of the time I dip the heads of the tubes in clear because I like the look...and it makes them a bit tougher. Northern Pike love tubes....and they chew them to bits no matter what kind/hardness of plastic you use!

Gloomisman
Add the hardener to cold plastic and stir well-then heat your plastisol Yeah thats how I was doing it. I really think my hardner was bad. It was alomst a solid with no liquid to it at all. I went ahead and ordered some Caney Creek Med. plastic. gone2long
Bump - I'm getting to much flash in my tails with Chemionics soft so using Med or Hard will solve this I'm not getting it in any other mold so I'm quite sure stepping up to a harder formula will solve this? I really like the action of soft on most of my baits I'm not real concerned with longevity as I pour for myself so was thinking Med for the injection and hard for the dip anyone have good results with this application. And with the new providers of plastics what type is getting the best results I know this is a loaded question but now that there is many more options just looking for some direction. Gloomisman
Just for an update. The CCM Regular is awesome. It makes a great tube. Obviously wont be as tough as hard but I like the performance so far. Edited May 10, 2012 by Gloomisman
