Best Filter For Fluid Bed

Hey there. Just wondering what u guys use for filters on your fluid beds. I tried a coffee filter but end up with alot of paint in the bottom of the cup. Just wondering what works best. Thanks!

I use the material from vaccum cleaner bags on mine and it seems to work good.

How are you attaching the coffee filter?

I learned on here to use test caps and knock out the center. Pull it back off and you have a tight fitting ring. Put your filter material on then replace the test cap ring and trim off the excess material.

I use a felt filter media.Seems to work well glued to the bottom of the

PVC bed..

What do you mean by a lot of paint in the bottom of the cup?

I'm using paper bags, vacuum cleaner bags and coffee filters. They all seem to work just fine.

Any hardware store will have them Home Depot, Lowes , or anyplace that sells pvc pipe will sell the test caps just ask someone at the store. They run abour 69 or 79 cents each in my area depending on size. Google pvc test cap to see a picture of one.

The center punches out easily with a hammer after you have put it into the pipe leaving a nice fitting ring to use to attach your chosen filter material.
