Saugerman
I don;t know how many of you already know this, but Lure Craft will not be selling the color tech paint as soon as they sell out.I received a e-mail from Kim today and that"s what she said. I just thought I'd mention this so if any of you use this you might go ahead and order what you think you might need later.

Richard Prager
Do a search. I thought it was recently mentioned that it was actually Lurework's product. nevermind......found it. http://www.tackleunderground.com/community/topic/22953-airbrushing-rubber-baits/page__p__171905__hl__+lureworks%20+paint__fromsearch__1#entry171905 Edited April 13, 2012 by 152nd Street Baits
DaBehr
Apparently ColorTech also sent letters to Bear's and others about not selling them colorant (also). Apparently the only want large volume manufacturers.

Saugerman
I had ran a search for this paint before and came up with nothing. It's good to know that it can be bought somewhere else, also. I agree with many of you that it does stink to high heaven, but I have not had good luck trying other type paints, and getting them to dry on the plastic to where you could handle the baits, even long enough to dip them in clear, without messing them up. I only dip past the eye generaly anyway. I haven't been using a resperator ,but I will be from now on,I know how bad this must be for your lungs, seems I'm always in a hurry, and think I won't be breathing it for that long at a time.Just lazyness on my part I know better. If there is something out there that works,as well, and not nearly as hazardous, please let me know,I'd like to use something safer. Thanks
SHK
Apparently ColorTech also sent letters to Bear's and others about not selling them colorant (also). Apparently the only want large volume manufacturers. not exactly, he got a letter stating a 50% price increase across the board on his end was effective immediately. correct me if i am wrong (im sure carolina mike will) but color tech is the parent company of both spike it and lureworks. carolinamike
Yeah you're right. All the same people. Apparently there are some liability issues that have come up with product repackaging. Truthfully, the only person I've talked to directly has been David at Bear's Baits, who by the way, I can't say enough good things about. I found myself in a tough situation the other week, not only did Bear help me out, he was also kind enough to give me the name of a supplier, but me and David have always worked together like that. And on the other hand the folks at Color Tech have always been great to me and the wife. And I think the world of those folks too. Bruce and Don have always been there for us if we found ourselves in a pinch. So this is kind of one of those fights I have to keep my dog out of.
