Kasilofchrisn
I am looking to buy some solid rings in 100#+ ratings prefferably stainless to make up some assist rigs for my flutter jigs and some others I am making. These will be used exclusively in saltwater. Anyone have a good source to buy these that won't break the bank? I checked Barlows,Janns, and Hagens and they don't stock them. andy1976
Try this guy he has what you need. http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300638750055+&item=300638750055&lgeo=1&vectorid=229466 He has some nice hooks at a good price also. Ocean tackle international has some pretty good prices for assist hooks. Good luck. Also not to difficult and almost free to make them yourself from bike spokes. If you want info and pics on that let me know.
Kasilofchrisn
I saw those on EBAY. I just figured there might be an online retailer for them. You never know with an ebay purchase. Might order from him and see how it goes for future purchases. Thanks Chris
andy1976
You could also try ocean tackle internationial they have them and some other cool stuff. Will be cool to see some pics I'll post some to later. If you are new to pouring be super careful about adding lead. i once made the mistake of thinking a big chunk of lead was dry. The explosion was unreal.would have killed me except forthe fact that i always put a large metal sheet in front of me. No put or lead left and it knocked me flat on my back. Kasilofchrisn
WOW what a crazy explosion. I am being very careful with the lead pouring.I usually start with a cold pot full of ingots and preheat any ingots a little with the propane torch if/when adding to a hot pot of lead. I ended up buying some of the rings off of EBAY. 80 rings should last me awhile as I am not selling my stuff. Thanks Chris
