Grisley Posted May 23, 2012 Report Share Posted May 23, 2012 Just curious if anyone has tried using Permatex flowable silicone sealant for making molds. Not for making the entire mold (because I don't think that would be cost effective), but for skinning the part, allowing it to cure and then filling the mold box with the Caulk/Water method posted by Husky. It costs about $6 for a 1.5oz tube, you could probably do a couple of molds with one tube if you are just skinning with it. Just wondering if anyone has tried this or if it will even work.
