Jigsisme
Which weedguards do you prefer for making your bass jigs (where do you order yours from)? I've only used the ones from fishingskirts.com which I really like!! Just curious. Edited May 23, 2012 by Jigsisme
cadman
This is my personal preferance, but I do not like stiff weedguards on any of my jigs. I use the .018 diameter weedguards and I only put 15 strands on all of my jigs for personal use. I personally believe that you get better hook-ups with less weedguard material. I buy in bulk, but Stamina, Jann's and Barlow's I believe get them all from the same place.
powerworm
terry kayser is the only person in the usa making them you can buy from him if you have a tax id and want 1000 at a time Edited May 24, 2012 by powerworm
EironBreaker
You can buy smaller quanties of weed guards from Kayser through http://www.lurecomponents.com/. Charles with fishingskirts gets his overseas and they are a different material. I can bake jigs with a poured-in guard if the guard is from Kayser at a lower temp and using a cover over the guard but no baking the fishingskirt guards in place. They will deform greatly.
