Big Splash
This is the 3" swimbait I've been working on the molds for for the last month. This bait has nailed three species of Trout already this spring. One evening I boated and released 10 Bull Trout 3-9 lbs. This bait has unbelievable action! The tail swims of course, and the body vibrates like a lipless crankbait, reflecting light from the shiney sides.

Tubeman
Nice job, I have tried a few ideas with swimbaits and have had a few successes. How do you postion your hooks when pouring ? Thanks, Mike
Big Splash
My mold has a stainless steel pin on one half to position the eye of the hook. The bend of the hook rests in a groove between the two halves of the mold. This swimbait is actually still in the protto stages, as the finished product will have a heavy black nickle flipin jig hook. This model will have to do for this season, as I won't have time to build a new set of molds. Like I said, I have landed some really large Bull Tout on this standard mustad hook, and they know how to use the river's current for leverage. A 10 1/2' steelhead rod helps though! MarshManiaC
Great lookin lure! Let me know when they get into production as swin-baits like that kill the redfish and specks down here.
Big Splash
This 3"swimbait will work great for reds and specks, but I have another swimbait I've been working on. It is desinged without the internal jig head so you can use whatever jig you like. I use a #4 Mustad gold plated saltwater style o'shaungessey jig in 1/2 oz. It is slimmer in profile, 3 1/4"long, and represents the more streamlined baitfish. I call it Slim-Swim. These have been cleaning up in the areas that require a long cast. One of my buddies kids caught a 5 or 6 lb. Char (lake trout) while trolling one in Black Pearl color.
