Fishnmike
Posted this in the tool forum but didn't get any responses so thought I would try here. After a lot of study here I made a Bondo mold for a large pyramid sinker. Before I use it was just wondering if there is any prep to do to it to aide in the relase of the sinker after it is poured. Thanks, Mike
dlaery
I am going to guess that talc powder would be the best. Baby powder might work but I don't know what else is in baby powder. I use talc for silicone spin cast molds.
dlaery
I buy the powder from Tekcast industries. Another place would be Contenti. Both have websites.
Fishnmike
Thanks for the response David, I'll give some talc a try. Mike
cadman
Fishnmike, I do know "Drop- Out" mold release works on aluminum molds. Mght also work on bondo.
Fishnmike
Thanks Cadman, I'll look for some of that. I don't want to get a 12oz pyramid sinker stuck in my new mold.
