No I didn't catch this on a custom made bait, was actually using a kwikfish, size 15 made by Luhr Jenson. Out here in Oregon we don't have Musky, wish we did, instead we spend much time fishing for these guys....salmon. I caught this 18 pound spring chinook about 3 weeks ago, thought some of you would like to see the pic. We fish these things on anchor, the current in the river keeps the plug thumpin. Anyway, I had fallen asleep in the bottom of the boat and had the fishing rod propped up between my feet...woke up when the thing started taking line, lol.

Nice fish! :D I just realized you live in the same general area as I do.(I live in Enumclaw) Good to see some Pacific Northwesters on the board. How do I go about seeing some of your crankbaits. I just do plastics and rods, so I'm always looking for some nice hardbaits.

Hi DJ,

Trying to remember where Enumclaw is, near Seattle isn't it? I get over that way to fish for Chums on some years...near Olympia, not sure how far that is from you. Most recently I am building musky lures, probably not gonna want to toss those much where you are at. Why Musky? Well, I enjoy building big baits and musky fisherman seem to like em that way.....BIG.

Jed,

Nice fish! I thought I let one through down here. Aren't springers great! Hope you guys upriver have better luck than we did below Bonneville. I went 0'fers for about 6 trips. Did the willy and Columbia anchoring and trolling. Nada :(

Still would like to talk to about that shrimp thingy  you made. PM me.

Gregg
