FishBones
So 4 months ago I purchased a gallon kit of the short set OOMOO. Used about 1/2 then kept it onto the shelf. Pulled it out today to mold some prototypes and make some production molds only to find the part A (The thicker, lighter colored half) had become very thick. A call to the company confirmed that it has a 3 month shelf life after opening. I'll call it a loss and lesson learned if I have to but dang, I can't really afford to lose that much material, nor repurchase at this moment. Anyone have experience thinning this? My only idea is to wait until the mold I poured (and I use the term loosely) cures, and then try messing with the ratio. The part B (thinner and darker) doesn't seem to have changed at all so I plan to try adding more part B to get it thinner, I expect I'll get a longer cure time but if I can save the material, I'll be thrilled. Help?
XFactorTackle
I've used that stuff before, I never heard about the shelf life though. I would just mix them anyway and see if it cures. Just do a small amount to test it...that's better then calling it a total loss at least. You don't even have to pour it, just leave it mixed in a paper cup so you don't ruin your prototype. FishBones
I did, my issue is that the part A has thickened so much it didnt pour, gauranteeing voids etc. I'm looking for a way to thin it back down a bit.

Maurizio
OOMOO is silicone rubber, right? There should be a thinner available (silicone-oil).
FishBones
Ha! And it turns out they do! I called the dealer instead of the manufacturer, first mistake. Now I gotta wait til monday to talk to smmothon, thanks mau.
