Little man baits
Ok so I have a bunch of laminates to do but they are becoming more of a swirl instead of half and half. Although the swirl looks great lol any help would be great Steve
smallmouthaholic
To do laminates consistently ,both containers of plastisol must be the same temp. and viscosity. Your mixing block and injectors need to be heated and depress evenly. The shooting star system fron Bears solves all of the aformentioned problems/ requirements.
carolinamike
Steve, also keep your temperatures as low as possible. The cooler the plastic the better the laminate. Cooler will also give the plastic less opportunity to swirl.
Frank
I think Mike hit the nail on the head. Low temps around 310 will give you a good laminate. The hotter you get the less definate the line is. Frank
Little man baits
Thanks for your help guys. I guess it's time to get myself either the shooting star system or a ir temp gun...
Frank
I second the Ir temp guns. Even if you have two prestos set at the same temp you will still need to know the temps as they are not always accurate. Not sure how my first attempt would have looked like if I did not have one.
