It is better if you just keep an eye out in the classifieds here . 40 bucks will probably get you one eventually . The medical bills for plastic burns are going to cost you a lot more . I'll wait to find one cheaper or just buy it full price. I only need it to try my verson of hand made 2 piece molds with 2 colors, 1 for the body and a second for tails. I cut the end off and epoxy in a small brass tube and a compression fitting. mark poulson Posted August 7, 2012 Report Share Posted August 7, 2012 I've used the Cabela's meat injector for years and it's holding up fine. It's all chrome plated brass, so it is strong and durable, but I do wear gloves when I inject, because it gets hot fast. Mine came with a replacement O ring, but I am still using the original. I just spray the inside of the injector with PAM before I use it each time. I cut down the needle to about 1/4" long.
