saltshaker
About a month ago, I bought a lot (25) of balsa jerkbaits from an e-bay seller in Japan. Apparently, I didn't read the description very well. I thought they would be bigger. They're only 3 1/2" long. I was planning to paint them for my saltwater buddies, but, they are entirely too small for redfish. I was planning to re-post them on e-bay to recoup some of my money. Should I paint them in bass colors, or, post them as is. They are sanded and sealed and look really nice. I'm just not sure if I'll be any better off painting them. What would y'all do? Thanks

Matt Moreau
HAHA.... well there you go who needs ebay! But to answer your question a QUALITY painted product will always be a better sell!!!
BobP
X2 with Matt. If they are very professionally finished, they would appeal to all fishermen on Ebay. Unpainted, they appeal only to lure builders. So it boils down to the questions: "How well do you paint lures? And do you want to go to the trouble?"
