Da big tuna
Just a quick question. I've seen some videos of people putting the fresh poured plastic in a little pan of water to cool and firm it. I understand that a major manufacturer wouldn't do it but for a few dozen can you do it? Any ill effects to the bait? Thanks in advance
CrabbyBass
You can do it with no ill effects. It cools the plastic down faster so you can fish with it quicker. Just make sure that it is a good lure before throwing in water. Once you put it in the water, you cannot remelt unless it is completely dry. Water being introduced hot liquid plastic is very dangerous. Be careful!
finesse1331
Yeah I throw my fresh pours in water, just make sure you keep your water container away from your pouring area.Like Crabbybass said it is very dangerous if hot plastic and water meet. I pour on a work table and keep a bucket of cold water on the floor. good luck.
