Fish 30acre
are any of you guys adding microballoons to you plastic with much success? and how much durability do you lose by adding them? and are there any brands of soft plastic that are made better for microballoons? J lure
You can use with all the plastisol plastics. You need a lot to make the bait float with a hook though, I think the best ratio is 50/50. The down size is you loose color and flexibility. TroutSupport.com
Depends on how big your bait is as to how much you have to add. For a skinny worm ...yes, you'd have to add a lot and definitely loose flexibility.. but for other applications and larger baits you'll have to experiment how much you add to get the results you want. you'll start loosing opacity with as little as 6% added to the mix and it becomes pretty opaque around 10 %. Fish 30acre
im planning on making some soft plastic swimbaits like a huddleston. still safe for adding microballoons or would a foam harness make more sense? would rather use microballoons if it is still possible to make a big swimbait float with a wire harness and not lose any durability... Fish 30acre
i searched and read all that already, is this just something im gonna have to investigate myself? i know i can get the bait to float, but im more concerned about durability of the plastic with all the microballoons added to it...
