Questions From Pouring Newbie

Recommended Posts

What liquid plastic would one suggest for a newbie pouring first time plastics into a homemade Plaster of Paris mold and a homeade Silicone mold (Flat bottom one piece).

Im looking at ordering the Caney Creek plastic to pour, but I dont know if it re-heats well... Any other suggestions for an easy to use/fair price re-heatable liquid plastic?

That is a good choice for a first pour. But every plastic is good just have to get a system that works for you. On the Caney creek plastic just heat it and pour. Dont fuss with it. The first time I used it i put it in the micro heat till the temp was about 350 add color and glitter and pour. Stays clear for a few reheats but they all yellow over time. Some sooner than others. If you mention price you will find it all over the place. Basically the components in it dictate price. But the end result is they all catch fish. Get a infrared therm. And save your self a head ache or two. Another thing the caney will come in a bag not much mixing needed just a little. If it sets for awhile mix a little better. Good luck Frank
