andrewg07
I am completely new to making soft plastics but I would really like to start as I have had a lot of fun making jigs using my lee production pot. I found a mold I like from a site called caney creek. It is an injection mold. To use this, I'm under the impression that I need a hand injector, but the one on their website costs 60 dollars. Anyone know of a cheaper alternative? Is this even necessary? Thanks guys.
J lure
This is not a cheap hobby to have, short cuts and being cheap will hurt you and costing alot more in the long run.
Saugerman
Yes it is necessary to have to inject the mold. Most any good injector wiill run close to that price. I agree with jlure about cutting corners,it can get you burned really bad. I'd rather pay the price for a good injector. There are several out there,Bears baits,, Bass tackle, and Canny creek, just to metion a few. Welcome to the addiction.
Little man baits
X2 don't cut corners when it comes to extreme hot plastic I just had my first mishap with hot plastic on my wedding finger and let me tell u it wasn't and isn't pretty. Do your self a favor and pay the piper and get a injector. And wear protective clothing ie gloves.
