What other black hook in 5/0 size may be used in place of this. I am looking to pour a 1.5 oz shad head to use with plastics such as the sassy shad. sdsaw Posted September 17, 2012 Report Share Posted September 17, 2012 As far as other brand hooks in BLN The Owner 5319 is a great hook It costs more but worth it for personal use (buyers might not want to spend that much for a jighead) Depending on the mold, the eye centering pin might be too large to fit in the owner eye without modification. If you were to make this modification to the mold, you would be able to use many of the 60 deg. hooks available. This is a Seahorse head but the mod will be the same. andy1976 Posted September 19, 2012 Report Share Posted September 19, 2012 Shortys sells a eagleclaw replacement for mustards 60degree flipping hook 32786. Not sure how many you need. But insure captain hooks sells them too. I sell a lot of 1.5-2 oz stad heads with a 32786 mustard 6/0. Seems like the perfect hook for it but you should have any trouble using a 5/0.
