ROWINGADUBAY
I just got my newest musky hunter and they had a neat tip for attaching trailer hooks to spinners I will try to explain 1 bend eye of hook slightly like a shakey jig hook 2 put eye of trailer over spinnerbait hook 3 tie a light wire from one hook shank to the other so the hooks stay inline The wire just acts to hold the trailer out back straight in line where it will be less likely to hang up and more likley to find a fish mouth all of the wieght will still be on the hook to hook connection Now for the bass guys this might not be the best way because I could see the wire getting all out of wack after a fish or two but for us musky guys we do more weed picking than fish catching I am going to try this trick with some skirt collars instead of tying so the wire will be able to be changed as needed
Painter1
sounds like it might work well for buzz bait in the weeds also. Thanks for the tip. I will try it.
