Candle Warmer Use

Recommended Posts

I have learned so much from all the good folks on this board and thought i would share something I did today that worked really well I thought. I cannot recall seeing this posted before.

I recall folks talking about keeping the mold and hooks warm to help make the pours go good.

I was wondering how I was going to warm the hooks when I recalled my wife's candle warmer so I snatched it out of the house when she wasn't looking, put 1 to 2 dozen hooks on it and covered it with a pie pan to hold the heat in as it was breezy today. Worked like a charm! Hooks were just too warm to hold for long periods with my bare hands but with a cotton glove it was no problem.

DUDE!!! My wife has around 4 or 5 of them things ... GREAT IDEA BUD!!!! Something else to consider when you are powder painting, I went to a boat show in Huntsville, AL and this guy had a lot of powder paint there. A friend called me up and said I needed to go meet him. Ended up buying around 3 pounds or so of paint for dirt cheap. Not the point, but he showed me a way to heat the heads. He said he went to a thrift store and got a plug in skillet type thing for cheap, puts it on 350 and lays the heads out there and waits a while comes back and just goes to town. He showed me 1/2 - 1 ounce footballs, poisons and such. I haven't done it yet just because where I live there is hardly any room in our house with 2 kiddos runnin around lol. But seemed like a great idea. Yeah its 5am and I just plugged in my pot, and about to steal the candle warmer! GREAT IDEA!

Needless to say, my wife caught me .... I was up at 2 in the morning last weekend and read this and started pouring after the rain came thru. It down poured right after I posted on this thread. So about 530ish that morning I stole her candle warmer ... I never knew she could get so mad. lol

I guess you can't say you weren't warned. You will owe her big time now.
