Nathan
Woodsac requested a larger version of my Rodent for a up coming trip...It measures 8 in.(not including tail)and weighs 2 1/4 oz.I've named this beast Frankinrodent...Nathan
woodsac
It'll be about 3.5 oz when I get it wet! Nathan, it looks outstanding, as expected! I know this is a little big for most, but do yourselves a favor and order one of the smaller 'Rodents', they just plain catch fish. Thanks again Nathan. deadlystreamer
Hey Guys, What's more important, a 20.00 5 gallon can of gas or a bait that will outlast and produce more then that 20.00 5 gal. can of gas. That Rodent will be one of your most cherished bass baits in your tackle box. It's worth every cent and by far more exciting then that 20.00 5 gal can of gas.. Celticav
Nice work Nathan! I am sure Woodsac is gonna get noticed out there. I love my Rodent, amazingly durable. JIM
woodsac
DB, I'm getting a little off topic here, but you have to remember that some people don't just make baits as a hobby, for some it's a living. You can't expect someone to just release their secrets to everyone if it could affect their income. A lot of people on this board have learned by first buying a bait made by another manufacturer then they disect it and build one of their own. Once someone else releases those secrets, there isn't much that can be done about it.

Nathan
DB, Woodsac pretty much hit the nail on the head.I,and most others here will answer general questions on lure building. But when the information given could cut into my kids college fund,I draw the line.I'm sorry for any hard feeling..Nathan
Delta Boss
i just wanted to know what the body is made of the inside so i could make one for myself i dont want to start a rat website
Lure--Prof
Not to be flippant DB, but if i absolutely had to know, I'd buy one and dissect it. Yes we all learn from one another on this site, but we also respect an individual's particular creativity and problem solving, particulary on such unique lures. Celticav
Delta Boss: There is being respectful and then there is being rude. I would call your attitude "pushy" and you should ask yourself if you would request information from someone in person the same way you requested it in your posts from Nathan. You may want reflect on the fact that these forums are voluntary, no one has to post anything if they do not want to and you demanding it under threat of: ILL FIND OUT HOW TO MAKE ONE AND WHEN I DO ILL POST ALL INSTRUCTIONS FOR EVERYONE TOO SEE AND BUILD A WHOLE NEST OF THERE OWN MICE is not what this website was created for. Great job again Nathan, keep em coming. JIM

Joe
Nathan, looks like you have been hanging out for too long with Toby at Funny Farm! Where and how do you guys come up with these ideas? I thought the rodent crankbait was a winner, but this rat is something else. Please keep us posted as to it's success on the water. Keep up the good work, Joe
redg8r
I was lurking around tackletour the other day & caught a nice unbiased review of the rodent: http://www.tackletour.com/reviewbettencourtbaitsrodent.shtm Ive had a chance to handle a couple rodents & the way the coat "breathes" in the water is somethin else. As to anyone tryin to make one, get ready for a challenge, remember Nate's been refining & experimenting with this bait for years. I know this bait takes some hard work to produce Theres others out there, but none with this kind of attention to detail.
woodsac
:!: Got my 'FrankinRodent' today. This thing is awesome guys! Nathan outdid himself! And yes, I threw it in the tub to watch it 'breath'. Great job! I'll let you know how it did on Monday when I get back. I'm on my way to Clear Lake @ 3am Friday for a 2 day tourney.
