JoeyDaGreat
So today I was going trough some boxes and found a half pint of lurecraft #502 plastic that has to be at least 2 1/2-3 years old. So I thought to my self this cant be any good but mixed it up anyways to see what would happen. So i emptied out all the plastic and scraped all the stuff that settled on the bottom and shook it all up and it looked fine. After I put it in the microwave for the 1st 30 seconds everything was fine I put it in for another 30 seconds and it looked a little orange but ok? Then I put it in for another 30 seconds (my microwave usually take 1:30-2:00 mins) and then poof I got a brain lol
alsworms
Bummer.......shelf life should be MUCH better than that. I'm thinking "shaking" instead of actually "mixing" might have caused the problem?? Lure Craft hardener settles........and I mean REALLY settles. It takes a ton of mixing to get it back to a pourable state. I once bought a couple 55-gallon LC drums that had been sitting for several years and I was able to get them to work, but it took a lot of time to do so. I had an auto mixer at the time, and I remember it taking a few hours to get it mixed. This was after I had manually broken up the hardener from the bottom of the drums. dj thrillz
I had a cup of plastic do that to me once, but it was because I forgot it in the micro lol. Started it, then went to go say hi to my dad, talked a little football and then I smelled something and the smokescreen was rediculous, and the odor went straight to the lungs. Never did that again lol.
