bribass
Question that hopefully some has an answer to, how do the mass produced baits get dipped? whether it be holly belly swimbaits with eyes or tubes, how do they do it at a very high productive level? Does anyone know of companies that are will to do this? Any info would be great, Thanks Brian

dlaery
I don't understand what eye dipping is. ps i just read this and I think it applies to me. It's better to keep your mouth shut and give the impression that you're stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.
mark poulson
I'm a little confused, too. Are you talking about dipping in clear after applying your eyes? I don't make that kind of a bait, but I've seen some of Frank's videos here that show how he does it. Do a search for dipping.
bribass
yes, my question is how do companies effectively "dip" (put a clear coat of plastic) on a bait such as swimbaits and tubes. I know alot of us do it on frogs as well. I was wondering if anyone has found the fastest way to do this, and also if anyone knows how the bigger companies do it. mark poulson
I'm pretty sure Frank has a video here that shows how he does it. Do a search for Frank's stuff in the search feature on the upper right of the forum page. Edited November 6, 2012 by mark poulson

Andree
i dip my swimbaits one by one and it takes some praktise to get it right look in the softbait gallery and you will se my latest 7,5" swimbait called Epic that is dipped to seal the eyes. sometimes i even dip the whole bait. but i dont know how the big companys do it since you need to turn the bait around after dipping it do prevent a dropp of plastic at the nose of the bait
Frank
Most of the baits I have seen are just as you say dripped off the nose and cut off. It does take time and most of the baits that are dipped are more expensive. The ones I have seen anyways. Frank
