VersatileFuturian
Can anyone tell me what gauge twisted wire is used in the Arky weedless tube jigheads found at Walmart? And where I can buy the wire? I am wanting to modify a tube head mold and put that wire in. Thanks
Jig Man
I have no knowledge of what Wally has. I make mine from 90# sevelon or surlon from Cabela's or Bass Pro. It is a coated cable and works great.

You definitely want to use stainless steel wire, and preferably coated like mentioned above. Edited November 7, 2012 by cadman
smalljaw
I do the same as jigman and cadman but.....If you want to buy them already made, go to lure parts online, they have a wire weedguard that is the same as I make with the surflon only they are already made up, I got them to see how they made them and it is close to what I make. Be careful if you go to buy them, it isn't the Do-it weedguards, it is their own weedguard.
