Basseducer
haulinbass, I use nylon upholstery thread. It is very strong and does not rot. You can get it a Wally World or just about any fabtic store. I finish my knots off with a drop of super glue and it takes the glue very well. cadman
I use Coats and Clarks upholstery thread. Only about 4 or 5 colors, but it will never break. Got mine at Jo-Anne Fabrics.
Richard Prager
The GSP 200 works great for me. Just don't use the white

Jig Man
I use braid or flat waxed fly thread.
smalljaw
Danville 210 flat waxed or Ultra Thread 210. For tying bass jigs I recommend at least 210 denier but if you are tying marabou you can get away with 140. I use 210 for everything and never had a problem. The other thing you need to know is a lot of the thread like the GSP is gel spun and if you aren't using a ceramic bobbin it could cause problems because a single tiny burr in the tube will cause you heartach with any type thread. cadman
its the bobbin the upholstery nylon broke too next question where can i find a good ceramic bobbin? You can try Cabela's, Barlow's, Lure Parts on line. I'm sure others have them as well. They are not cheap, however they do last a long time and I think they are a good investment if you do a lot of tying with thread. Darkman
Coats and clarks upholstry thread is what I use...super super strong...also make sure that your bobbin is of good quality..i kept "breaking off" cause I use a bobbin that was CRAP!...you can find a good ceramic bobbin anywhere on line if you dont have a BPS or Cabelas or a flyshop near you
