Fish_N_Fool
All the one joint lures that I have used are all a hinge type like the River 2 sea S-Waver. Take a look at them and copy the joint in it. I don't make hard baits, but i hope this might help.
mark poulson
I found that one joint swimbaits move in a lazy S motion, like the S-waver. The only way to get them to have more action is to add a lip.

mark poulson
Turns out it's a great action for swimbaits. Who knew???!!! Butch Brown is now sponsored by Deps, and they're making an S swimmer for him that he modifies and sells on his own website. He sticks big fish wherever he fishes. Basshand
the two piece action gives more of an s action, the tighter the joint usually makes the bait S more. If you look at a wide swimbait like a slammer, the bill resistance and the tail really kicks because the joints are really far apart, the two piece of an S waver is really tight and has a lot more of an s action. Hope this helps a little bit.
