I was wondering if anyone could help me out on the steps you go thru on building one. And i have researched some on materials but havent found much on guide or eye selection besides tips and thats about all. Anyone know where you can buy ice rod eyes or can you use other eyes? The basic items you will need include theblank, handle (usually Korkalon), some rod guides, thread, and finish, alongwith some other basic tools Take a look at some of the rodblanks and components below. IceRod Blank KorkalonRod Handles These Pac Bay Guides are great for ice rods: PacBay SVHG Guides RodBuilding Thread PermaGloss Rod Finish Brushes BurnishingTool This will work great for getting you started on your firstice rods.
