spoonpluggergino
I tried to PM Hazmail but PM will not go through. My Question : How the paint is applied to the bait, Iam thinking maybe with an eye dropper, dropping drips of paint on the bait surface Gino
RayburnGuy
Gino I remember reading Pete's tutorial some time ago and I think he misted the lure with water from a spray bottle which will leave small water droplets on the bait. Paint is then sprayed with the airbrush over the water droplets. I believe he then used a hair dryer to slowly dry everything making sure to keep the hair dryer back far enough that it doesn't blow the drops of water around. Or he could have placed it under a heat lamp or some other low temp heat source. That's the part I'm having the most trouble remembering. Hope this helps. RayburnGuy
I went back and read Pete's tutorial after Jeff posted the link and saw my description was wrong. What I described might have been on YouTube or some other airbrushing site I had visited. Hope I didn't cause any confusion for you Gino. My memory isn't what it used to be. hazmail
Just read this Gino--as it says, just pick up your paint with a stick or 'Q tip' tubes are good, depends on your bait size- also make sure your base colour / undercoat is 'matte', the paint won't run as much as it would on gloss - takes a while to do. Have fun. Pete Edited February 1, 2013 by hazmail
