Big-D
Does anyone know if the L2798 or 32798 will fit the new Trokar (round head/flat bottom) Round with Screw-loc mold? Thanks. -D
PeteZipczech
I haven't tried it yet, but I've been told that the wire diameter of the Trokar hook is a little larger so using the 32798 might lead to flashing in the eye area or down the shank. I've got a friend that has the mold on order so when he gets it we'll be able to find out.

PeteZipczech
i use the lightwire ewg mustads in mine with almost no flashing. What Mustad style number are you speaking of? I would like to give those a try too. Thanks, Pete
smalljaw
What Mustad style number are you speaking of? I would like to give those a try too. Thanks, Pete They are talking about the Mustad 32798, the L2798 is the Eagle Claw Black Platinum replacement. The mold call for the heavier Trokar model and the heavier Mustad which is the 32796 and the Eagle Claw L2706.

Big-D
Just wanted to report back. Got the mold last week and poured a hundred or so jigs. The flashing is not so bad with the light wire hooks. I was also pleased to discover the mold will accept 60-degree regular-eye hooks without further modification.
