boxknocker1
I'v been searching the archives TU for any reviews on Rite-Hete pots, but have not found many posts regarding these. Started out using lee pots back in the day and then bought a Sta-Warm pot, but didn't like it so I returned it, but just curious if anyone is currently using one? They look like quality equipment. I'm thinking of using one to dip tubes & swmbaits with, but also wonder how well they really work for pouring? Any help is greatly appreciated. Frank
I have two and love the way they work. Temp is steady. One is one gallon and the other is three gallons. It is what I use for single colors. Frank
Painter1
Frank, I am glad to hear your endorsement. How do you keep the material stirred? Are you able to pour directly from the spigot to the mold? I know you do a lot of injector work but am wondering. They told me that they add a second heater control for the pour spout for $150 more. Digital control is over $500. It sure seems like good equipment.
Frank
The heated spout that is the 150 upgrade does not work well for top pour molds as it is to big. The pot will work just fine for dipping blades and tubes. But they are real easy to talk to so you could ask for say a 1/4 valve and it might work but would not bet on it. For stirring I just stir by hand before each use. I really see no reason for constant stirring the way I use it. But on a presto pot there is because there is no heat on the sides and it will cool and get a skin. With the ritehete it has a heating element on the side of the pot. mark poulson
Do you stir to keep flake and/or salt in suspension?
Frank
Yes but i can keep the heat as low as needed so it stays up very well. But just before I inject just give it a couple of stirs. Frank

anglersambush
I have never heard of this company and it sounds like it is a better way than the presto posts to keep plastic warm. Is this the best out there?
Painter1
I ordered a 6 quart unit today after talking to these folks several times. Based on Frank's help I asked if they could do a smaller spout and they were happy to do it. The 6 quart unit with the recommended 2nd heat controller for the spigot is $635. I am eager to try it.
