garthsnooks
beside anise, shrimp, gartlic et al...what is the base substance(s) used in fishing scents?? Will worm oil work combined with the main components??
ipt
havent tried it myself, but i have read that worm oil will work just fine. when you cook it apparently it smells pretty gross, so do it in the workshop
finesse1331
You can use worm oil, thats probably the best thing to use, you can also use olive oil or vegetable oil but those will go bad in time. Like ipt said the worm oil will stink up the house so make sure to cook it outside. I have made a home made coffee, garlic, anise scent and they come out great. I've even experimentede making my own garlic paste to smear on my jigs.

basskat
This is the best Anise oil I've found: http://www.wildroots.com/anise-star-essential-oil-fl-oz-p-4066.html Mix it with olive oil or worm oil.

garthsnooks
BK, site says anise solidifies at 60 degrees...is that a problem?
basskat
I haven't had any issues with it. I cook it in the baits as well as use it in the bag. This stuff is STRONG. A couple drpos is all you need. Edited February 16, 2013 by basskat
