Tony P
Just wondering how many people sell the lures & tackle they make? Sell because you have made to many & need room to make more. Sell to pay for your hobby. Sell as a side business. sell as a full time business.
Jig Man
A lot of guys here sell but I don't because of all the government red tape and record keeping.

BobP
No! Customers? I don't got to show you no stinkin' customers!
RayburnGuy
Nope. It would then become a job and I've worked more than enough in my lifetime. By only building a small number of lures I can spend as much time as I want on testing and tweaking new lure designs. That's a big part of the fun for me. basskat
I had four bait shops that bought my products for a couple years. Then it became a job which I no longer enjoyed. Now I make for me and me only.
Vodkaman
Customers - Ha! I don't even fish mine - I just build, test and store in a plastic bag. Just for fun and the challenge for me Dave
Kasilofchrisn
Not usually like other have said to avoid the red tape and I don't need/want a second job. I have been talked into selling a handfull in a one time only deal another oudoor forum I am on just because people really liked my stuff and were asking me to sell them some. I do enjoy making them and can easily make lots more than I can use. I figure if I sell a few off the record every now and then just to cover costs for coworkers and friends then I can buy for a new mold or more supplies with the money. A full time business? No way not for me. I need my fishing time!
subsailor618
No, i don't sell anything I make. I share with Family and Friends but I wont sell.
diemai
I don't sell , simply because I don't think , that anybody would be willing to pay a fair price for the effort I'm putting into my humble creations . Otherwise I'd fully second Ben's statement made above(post #5) . ............but I also say "never say never" , ....if I was forced to add to a living some day , who knows ..... ??? Cheers , diemai
cadman
Yes, I sell, however I keep it small, as I want to fish and not make jigs 24/7. I can control how much I want to make and who I want to sell to.
BobP
I thought about selling lures because I was making too many to fish or give away. Then I thought about it. If your labor is worth money, how much should you charge? The rate you were making before your retired? If so, my lure would be priced at $200+ each! I decided I'd rather just give them away rather than devalue my labor by selling them for a price anyone might actually want to pay.
