joetheplumber
Anyone tried the Spro Little John blanks from unpainted lures.com? They say that these are slow sinking and I was just wondering how slow? Wouldn't do me much good if they sink to fast. Also they say that these are an OEM product. Any thoughts on that? Maybe actual Spro's that didn't pass the float test at the factory? Any feed back would be great. Thanks...........Joe
nedyarb
I have some, they do sink. There is a belly weight right behind the bill. I just use a drill bit and drill out the weight. And fill the hole with epoxy putty. They swim good though!
Richard Prager
I have painted and sold quite a few of these just the way they are. I haven't had any complaints and have had several repeat buyers. These are not made by Spro. They were suppose to be floaters, but that's what happens sometimes when dealing with overseas. joetheplumber
Thanks for the info guys. Probably order order some later today. I'll mainly be using them for striper fishing here in the Neuse River. They love the LJ's but some of the stump fields we fish in aren't to friendly and it can get expensive. Especially when the Red fish get mixed in with them. We lost over $150 worth of top water baits one morning back in October in one these spots. Can't keep feeding em $12-$20 lures on my salary. Thanks guys..............Joe
