rixon529
Hi All. Anyone willing to share a source for Mylar? I'm looking to experiment with some mylar inserts. This is just for me - I don't make baits for resale. Please feel free to message me if you don't want to make an open post. Thanks in advance. Frank
This may sound funny but I believe you could just get a Mylar balloon and cut it up just for starters. You might have issues with the plastic sticking to it but worth a try. Bruce is a good call too. Frank
RFP
that's probably going to melt... i tried using the stick on variety and removing the adhesive and they still discolor a bit... talk to bruce... you need to get a high temperture material. Jonah
A west coast company poured worms with mylar in them several years ago. You can get some different looking color combos for sure. There's was one problem. The hooks had a tough time getting thru the mylar on the hook set. They discontinued these after a short time after they stopped selling
Carolinafalls
Depending on what size you need we use the small Mylar used for tying flies. http://www.basspro.com/Holographic-Tinsel/product/3071/ Edited February 24, 2013 by Carolinafalls
