Tracy G
I've never used them, but I have heard a lot of good stuff about the 20 and 30 minute epoxies.
RayburnGuy
has anyone tried the CA's or the epoxies fron Bob Smith Industries BSI. Reason i am asking is i just found out it is made 2 blocks from my house. http://www.bsi-inc.com/index.html I don't use their CA glues, but have been using their 5 and 30 minute epoxies for some time now. Only use the 5 minute for things that won't come in contact with water. For everything else the 30 minute is used. The 30 minute epoxy seems to have a little longer working time than D2T and air bubbles seem to dissipate better with the Bob Smith. stretcher66
Ben, is there a reason for not using the CA's or just personal preference? I am going to try to get by there and check out their products, if they even sell to public. they might only ship to retailers.
RayburnGuy
I've been ordering the 30 minute epoxy online from AeroMicro and hadn't noticed BSI even had a line of CA glues. I don't see why there would be a problem with their line of CA glues. If it were me, and I could get it locally, it would definitely be worth a shot. Every penny you can save on shipping costs is another penny you can put toward other supplies. mark poulson
Plus having them so local, you can just drop by and ask any questions you have about how the products perform and how to use them from the people who make it. Sweet!!!
stretcher66
Well I guess I will be on a recon mission soon. I work nights 7 on 7 off so on my next days off I will see if i can get the grand tour of the facility.
Richard Prager
I use the BSI 30 minute slow cure epoxy daily and find it works great! Remember, it cures at least 70 degrees. Not a signifigant difference in working time to D2T. Either way i only make enough to do 2 baits. The big difference is the bubbles. There aren't any unless it is cold out. Their flex coat works alright but you need 2 coats. I've used their CA's for gluing on the eyes but went back to loc tight because my local hobby shop closed. I have to use of the 2 epoxies because of the low odor
