smallmouthaholic
I resemble that remark! Hahaha Mark, Bass fishermen,as a whole are a stubborn-adamant bunch of guys.-90% are followers , 5 % think about changes and the final 5% are innovative and creative.. That said, there is a difference between smallmouth and largemouth bass fishermen. LMB anglers follow the pack and headlines while SMB anglers are always looking for something new. I have to laugh out loud @ the individuals that must have or re-produce an exact copy of a well promoted bait. Location, seasonal patterns followed by profile/action,size and color of the bait are the requirements. Many years ago-most thought the ocean was square but Columbus took a chance. Silo1688
Here is what some research has gotten me... You can also try to make some yourself with some oven bake putty. Bake it and make a top pour mold from either POP or DWP. I had to first contact the CNC machine shop, and they pointed me to the right CAD company since they did not disign it on site. OR you can take to a CAD (computer aided disign) shop and they can "remake" it it in a digital format. At this point you can also add or subract different features you can place on it. Then you need to take that CAD copy and bring it to a CNC machine shop where they can carve it out of aluminum, make sure they can use that type of CAD copy. hope this helps. I think that is true of humans as a whole. Look at all of the technological and scientific advancements that have been made by just a few visionaries. smallmouthaholic
I think that is true of humans as a whole. Look at all of the technological and scientific advancements that have been made by just a few visionaries. Most people consume, very few invent, innovate, or create. It only requires $,the willingness to take a chance and a stainless steel pair ! There are 3 types of people in this world- 1- Those that watch things happen 2- Those that wonder what happened 3- Those that make things happen It is very rewarding to take a vision/dream that others can't visualize and transform it into a reality. Smallie
If people want exact copy's then let them buy the exact one from the name brand. If they are that anal then don't fuss with them. Sticks are the same way let them have the business then they will just complain about the price. If they want a special color then they have to deal with what you have. In my mind if it is color then having a name brand bait is not the key the color is. Market stuff to people that want it not the one who will never be happy. Frank A lot of people want exact copies, they just want a cheaper price because they think they are home made. The hand pouring movement was started by anglers wanting to make something different but the hobby has steadily moved in the direction of two piece, injected molds that mimic what is available commercially.
