Celticav
If your gonna topcoat then you can experiment with about anything. I would just use a good primer first. Don't laugh but I've used some metallic paint pens from walmarts art/school/office section over primer and sprayed clear laquer over some and devcon 5 min over some, works good so far....but these were just ones and twos. In my opinion though if your doing bass jigs then you should just go with powder; dependable, durable, cheap, and no topcoat needed. Check ebay, there is usually plenty on there cheap, JIM
siebler_custom_baits
see the problem is that i use powder paint already. i am finding it is hard to get quantity using powder on weedless footballs because of no base hole pins. thanks jim, ill try a few different paints tonight. What type of primer is good? maybe expoxy? thanks
Celticav
I really like the self-etching primer like Eastwood, but regular primer in the spray can will work good, using a topcoat and a good primer makes all the difference. Are you airbrushing? If so you can't go wrong with acrylics. Check the model paint section at wallyworld. I have had good luck with vinyl. Hope it helps, JIM
