ravenlures
Has anyone ever had a Lee Melting Pot reconditioned. They say any condition and half the price of a new one plus S & H. Wayne www.leeprecision.com
cadman
Yes, I have had a new bowl , spout and plunger replaced. Definitely worth the money. They did an excellent job. Mine was less than half of a new pot. They are very fair and fix it with all new parts. Tell them what is wrong and they will repair it accordingly to what is needed, and they will test it as well. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Jig Man
I haven't had them do it, however, I bought the parts and redid mine for just a few bucks.
Guest Gangel
I've never looked into this, and I'm on dialup, probably take me all day... but does Lee offer options for increasing the flow out of their pots?

Not that I know of. I know there is a formula of flow rate versus cooling rate versus how much air you trap by pouring too fast. I don't know the exact formula though. Remember that lead composition, heat, and mold height have a lot to do to getting good pours and this is just a short version. Many, many more variables to take into consideration. Guest Gangel
Only reason I ask is because I'd like it to flow fast enough to fill a Lee Ingot mold with out strafifying the ingots.
makokeith
Only reason I ask is because I'd like it to flow fast enough to fill a Lee Ingot mold with out strafifying the ingots. I drilled my spout out a bit to increase flow for large jigs up to 8 oz... Works great but doing smaller jigs can be a pain. Now need a second pot.
