Nathan
A couple years ago I played around with a product called "Real Water".It is a single component water based product used to make lakes and rivers in model train etc. set ups.I simply dipped them one time and hung them. The stuff dries very clear with a moderate gloss to it.The interesting thing about this stuff is that never dried hard...Just very firm so it always has a flex to it.The crankbaits I used it on have been fished hard and still look pretty good considering the abuse. You can get this stuff from Micro Mark ( expensive there!!) Or Hobby Lobby will some times have it or Places that cater to model railroad stuff...Taxidermy places may even have it..I don't know... I 'm just throwing this one out there for anybody who may want to mess with it..Unfortunatley I don't have the time right now to put this stuff through it's paces...maybe somebody else will...Nathan
