Little man baits Posted April 19, 2013 Report Share Posted April 19, 2013 Ok so I put together a presto pot with a spout but the spout gets clogged and nothing coming out. Can anyone help. smallmouthaholic Posted April 19, 2013 Report Share Posted April 19, 2013 .Have your PP. on w/ hot plastisol and the stirrer operating Open the spout fully and heat the brass carefully w/ a torch.Have a container under the spout. Bass-Boys Posted April 19, 2013 Report Share Posted April 19, 2013 (edited) is the spout in the side or bottom of the pot ? it needs to be very close to the heating area of the bottom of the pot and the spout needs to be as short as poss. if its to long it will cool off at the end and clog. put a propane torch on the spout when your pot is heated up and see if it starts to pour if it does then the spout is not getting enough heat. Bass-Boys Posted April 20, 2013 Report Share Posted April 20, 2013 I have bears,, i have to heat it up real well @ 1st then it works great. before that i made my own and the spout clogs on it , but i put the spout on the side w/ an elbow and it will not stay warm enough.
